It is December and I feel my dread of writing yet one more holiday blog. I feel the conflict inside myself between that dread and my desire to write something of value; something that will help all of us have a better holiday season.  Then it hits me – that's what I should write about this year.  After all, I think my attitude reflects what many of us feel about the holidays.

There are ways to make the holidays better. One of the ways is through mindfulness.

Being a perfectionist does not mean that you do everything right. It means  holding yourself to an impossible standard. Even when others consider your work excellent, you are dissatisfied and criticize yourself.

Learning to be in a relationship is a progress and require skills. I've listed 6 skill that will help you have better relationships.

Love means many things. Nowhere in those definitions is love required to be directed at Mom or Dad, at a spouse or a partner.

Airports are an easy place to lose your temper these days.  Between security and lines and delays, stress has become a part of air travel.  With that in mind, this story could have happened to any of us.

A seasoned traveler was flying through a major airport after a short trip.  She was alone, traveling light, and was well-organized as she went through the security checkpoint.  Many of the travelers around her were over-burdened with possessions and took a long time to prepare for their inspections.

Feelings are essential to our lives and well-being, because they give us information about what is going on around us and inside of us. We learn from an early age that there are acceptable feelings and unacceptable feelings. Many families have only one or maybe two feelings that are understood and accepted by its members.
